I love the California Fish Grill restaurant chain. I can always count on reasonably priced fish that is fresh and flavorful. I usually get the White Roughy; it's one of the best fish they have to offer.
I also come for the Taco Tuesdays. Just stick with the regular fried fish tacos or even the chicken tacos. The mahi tacos are nasty and stink like old fish. The salmon tacos are not impressive either.
The salsa bar is simply the best! I load up on the 2 varieties of tartar sauce, cilantro, and the mild salsa. So good and fresh!
SIDES (comes with fish plates)
1. The rice isn't very good; it's sort of hard (undercooked?) very plain, but I usually soften it up by pouring some of the wide range of salsas they have at the salsa bar.
2. The french fries are good, as long as they come out hot and fresh. 3. The cole slaw is mediocre. It's not fresh and has definitely been sitting out. It's kind of on the dry side and they don't give you a lot to begin with.
4. Bread slice is not spectacular, but add butter and you'll be fine.
