I absolutely LOVE this place. As a Cerritos native (and fan of authentic Mexican food), I've always been a fan of Don Jose's. I first tried the delicious fare here over 20 years ago, a testament to their longevity/success. The quality of the food has not changed, the prices are very reasonable (typically around $10-$12 per dinner entree), and miles better than any chain restaurant you'll find in our lovely city.
The restaurant is spacious, and the service is good. The wait staff is attentive and check up on you to make sure everything is ok.
What do I like? - Their chile rellenos are amazing. The beans and rice melt in your mouth, and the enchiladas are fantastic, too. The salsa is fresh and yummy - a bit on the watery side, but still flavorful nonetheless. Check this place out - you will NOT regret it!
