Absolutely the WORST steaks you may EVER have in your life. I've returned to the Gaucho Grill in Brea a handful of times to see if the quality of their food would improve. It hasn't, and I strongly feel it won't.
I've ordered the steak with garlic sauce 2x before on separate occasions and found it to be the most disgusting, driest, and lowest quality job. As a hardcore carnivore, I can guarantee that their steaks are frozen and old. Perhaps that's why they cook everything well-done so that they kill the bacteria.
Their garlic sauce is also a joke. It has no flavor and tastes like plain, watery gravy with too much corn starch. I'm convinced that the sauce has no trace of garlic.
I order my steaks medium rare, but the meat comes out grayish and well-done (an oxymoron, in this case). Every time I feel like I'm cutting a piece of soft, tender and moist morsel, it turns out to be a well-disguised hard piece of tendon...which I tactfully place in my napkin and collect on the bread plate.
If you want to have a great dining experience, DO NOT go to the Guacho Grill.
