Min Sok Chon was where I had my 8:30 - 11 PM grub fest on Friday night. Overall, the experience was better than I had expected. The facility was like a huge restaurant with big, wooden tables (everything about this place is wood - very traditional K style), sorta loud K-music, and lots and lots of food.
Service was fantastic. The ajummas don't really speak or understand English, but dang - they are SO nice and hospitable!
Food was aight. We had:
1. Tong Dak (fried whole chicken): decent, kind of on the dry side, but who the heck cares when the skin is fried to a sinfully yummy crisp and you're dunking the meat in your salt/pepper mix or the chili sauce?
2. Nakji gooksu (spicy squid & noodles): I've had way better. The squid was really hard - kind of like compressed rubber bands. I gave up on chewing and was relegated to just swallowing the pieces whole. Bleah.
3. Yogurt soju: yummy!
4. OB beer: light and refreshing - aww jeah
All this and the total bill came out to exactly $45. Prices were totally reasonable with most dishes and anjus (snackies) in the low to mid $10 range.
