7/30/08 EDIT: On behalf of my parents' last 2 dining experiences here, I've replaced my 5-star rating with a 3-1/2 (sorry, Yelp does not allow 1/2 ratings). Remember I once RAVED about Chosun Ok's AMAZINGLY tender and mouth-watering spicy squid w/ noodles? A retraction is in order. They no longer use the tender portions of squid, AND the dish is now mostly comprised of cabbage and noodles. "Where's the squid???" Also, my parents said that the banchans have gotten way too spicy. Sucks :-P

Oh my gooooodness. Cho Sun Ok was AMAZING. We came here for my dad's birthday dinner, and the food was incredible. This place has a reputation for their spicy calamari noodles (nakji bokkum), and I discovered why. I have NEVER in my life tasted calamari that was so tender it practically melted in your mouth! The spicy paste didn't burn your tongue and it was just the right balance of sweet and spicy.
We also had the naengmyun (cold buckwheat noodles) and I was stunned by the authenticity and standout yumminess of this dish. I've tried naengmyun at one of the most renowned naengmyun spots in Insadong, Korea, and Cho Sun Ok's noodles topped my Motherland experience. Incredible.
I highly recommend Cho Sun Ok! I'm sure everything else is fantastic...if not, you just can't go wrong on the dozen banchans (side dishes) they include with your meal. YUM!
